Ax Battler

Ax Battler is a Blue Campaign Hero from the Golden Axe franchise. He is classified as an Common Barrage Hero which can be looted from Stages 83 and 178 in the Campaign. He is one of the four Heroes the player first unlocks in SEGA Heroes, along with Amy Rose, AiAi and Blaze Fielding.

Background Information[]

Ax Battler is one of the main protagonists of 1989's Golden Axe. He is a sword-wielding barbarian and reoccurring character in the Golden Axe franchise. Years before the events of Golden Axe, Ax Battler was returning to his home after a successful hunt. When Ax returned, he found his mother lying in a pool of blood, and discovered that Death Adder was responsible for her death. Since then, Ax swore to avenge her and to defeat Death Adder.

Fun Fact: Ax Battler is the only Golden Axe character to get their own spin-off title.
