Golden Axe

Golden Axe is one of Sega's franchises in SEGA Heroes. The main genre of this franchise is a beat'em up, the very first game appeared in 1989, and the very first platform is Arcade and later home console Sega Genesis (Sega Mega Drive) in fourth generation, developed by Sega. The main protagonists are Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead, and a recurring antagonist is Death Adder. In SEGA Heroes, the heroes from this franchise who join in the fight against Dremagen in the Campaign mode are Ax Battler (launch) and Death Adder (after Stage 66).
