Story Dialogue

This page contains the dialogue from each cutscene in SEGA Heroes. There are 13 characters involved in the main story, those being Dremagen, Amy Rose, Ax Battler, AiAi, Blaze Fielding, Ageha, Big the Cat, Wren, Death Adder, Cream and Cheese, Hibana, Beat and Sonic in order of appearance.

Dialogue

Intro

	"Power... Strength... Speed. These heroes will be perfect for my... collection. I am DREMAGEN, Master of a thousand dimensions. With my clone army... I will open portals to new worlds.. and rule them ALL."
	"Hey! YOU!"
	Amy runs up to Ax Battler.
	"Whoever you are, this is no time to sit around. Help me!"

Journey Begins - Before Battle

	"What is this place? Who are you?"
	"It seems our worlds have been pulled into this dimension. Oh, and my name is Amy."
	"I am Ax Battler."
	"Ax Battler? But you have a sword. You know what, never mind. What's important is that we stick together."
	"Amy the Pink Rabbit is correct. I sense enemies. We must prepare for battle."
	"I'm a HEDGEHOG, Ax the Sword Carrier. Now, let's stop these things and rescue our friends."

Journey Begins - During Battle

	Ax and Amy run up to a clone of Joe Musashi.
	"By Guld's breath, what manner of foe is this?"
	"Just a ninja. No big deal. I have a friend who's a ninja."

Journey Begins - After Battle

	"A well-fought victory!"
	"Don't celebrate just yet - someone is coming! However, something tells me they're not an enemy."
	"Eek eek! AiAi doesn't know where he is, but he's happy to meet you! Do you have a banana?"
	"We are without bananas but perhaps we can find some on our adventure."
	"We could use a monkey like you! Wanna join us?"
	"Hooray! Let's adventure! You run and AiAi roll!"

Stage 1 - During Battle

	"Keep working as a team. We got this!"
	Ax, Amy, and AiAi run up to a clone of Mr. X.
	"Dremagen is a very busy woman, so I will fight for her. I promise this will end badly for you."

Stage 1 - After Battle

	"These enemies are getting tougher. If we want to win we're going to have to train."
	"Train? Look at these muscles, pink rabbit. These muscles need no training."
	"Hedgehog, and yes, they absolutely do."
	"More enemies to fall on our blades."
	"Eek Eek! AiAi is having fun with new friends!"
	"You may be a monkey inside a ball, but you have the heart of a warrior!"
	"Yay! I'm a warrior!"

Stage 2 - During Battle

	After an encounter with a clone of Death Adder.
	"You've stopped nothing! Dremagen is all-powerful. She cannot be defeated!"

Stage 2 - After Battle

	"Hurray! We won! Do we get bananas now? More quests! More! More! More! Eek! Eek! Eek!"
	"There sure are a lot of bad guys around here to beat up. A girl could get used to this."
	"Our enemies grow in numbers. We will need more allies."
	"True. For now I've got my hammer, you've got your sword Ax, and AiAi has...well, he has a ball."
	"Eek! Eek! AiAi ready!"
	"Dremagen, we're coming for you."

Stage 4

	"OK, somebody better start talking. What's going on around here?"
	"Please be calm. What is your name?"
	"Be calm? My name is Blaze and I've been fighting things that look like my friends for the past hour. To say I've had a bad day is an understatement."
	"I'm sorry, Blaze. I am Ax Battler and these are my friends. I believe we are all on the same side."

Stage 5

	After an encounter with Doctor Eggman.
	"Looks like Doctor Eggman is working for Dremagen. I'm not surprised."
	"A villain from your world? Seems easy enough to defeat."
	"Oh, I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him."
	"I wonder what other villains will raise their vile heads."

Stage 6

	"So how do you breathe in that ball?"
	"AiAi breathes with his nose and mouth like you, silly!"
	"No, I mean...."
	"One twitch and you'll taste my blade."
	"Whoa! Where did you come from? You move like a ninja."
	"You are not like the other mindless creatures."
	"I am AiAi, and..."
	"You can tell me while we move. Enemies are near."

Stage 11

	"These creatures can look just like we do."
	"They fight like us as well."
	"Is that bad?"
	"Not at all. I look forward to fighting a worthy opponent."

Stage 12

	"Dremagen is making clones of beings from our world. How do we know we aren't clones?"
	"I know who I think I am and that's all that counts. No matter who we are, we have to stop her."
	"You have honor, pink rabbit... I mean, hedgehog. Let's go stop Dremagen."

Stage 17

	"That last enemy was quite powerful, and considerably handsome."
	"That's because he was you, muscle head."
	"There is only one Ax Battler!"
	"Let's hope so."

Stage 18

	"Big? Is that you?"
	"Hi, Amy. It is me, I think. I can't tell who is who around here."
	"How did you get here?"
	"I'm not sure. I was fishing one minute, and the next minute I'm here."
	"Well, I'm happy you're here."
	"I still don't know where here is."

Stage 24

	"Big the Cat? Your name fits you."
	"Thank you, I think."
	"And who is this Froggy you speak of? Can he fight?"
	"He's my best friend. He can't fight, but he can hop and swim."

Stage 25

	"Amy, what's going on?"
	"Well, a bad person..."
	"Doctor Eggman? I saw him?"
	"Yes, he's here, but he's not in charge. This other bad person is making evil clones out of innocent creatures."
	"I wish our friends were here."
	"Me too, Big, but right now we have to count on our new friends."

Stage 32

	"Dremagen's supply of cannon fodder is endless. We should find a safe place for protection."
	"We cannot defeat this enemy by hiding."
	"We avoid them when possible. Fighting through the fodder is meaningless."
	"Well, if you are too scared to fight, I would understand."
	"I am not afraid. Do not mistake good sense for fear."

Stage 33

	"Your fighting style is crude, yet has a certain elegant flow. Where did you train?"
	"With my friends and family. Eek! Eek!"
	"I was part of a clan once too. Those days are behind me."
	"No they're not! You're in our clan now."

Stage 39

	After an encounter with a clone of Shadow.
	"Shadow. I shouldn't be surprised."
	"Is he a criminal?"
	"Sometimes. Sometimes he's an ally. It's complicated."
	"There seems to be a lot of that going around."

Stage 40

	"Do we really want to head into this area? A place like this means a lot of clones. That means a lot of things to fight."
	"I welcome a good battle. Besides, we have little choice. The road to Dremagen leads through the city."
	"Ok, just checking. Let's roll!"

	"That was hard. Are we almost there?"
	"A good ninja must be patient."
	"I'm not a warrior. I fish."
	"A fisherman must be patient as well."
	"That makes sense. You remind me of Froggy."

	"It would appear that the enemies are getting stronger."
	"Who are you again?"
	"My name is Wren. I am an android who was brought to this world the same as you."
	"An android, a ninja, a monkey in a ball. Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke."
	"Eek! Eek! AiAi loves jokes!"

Stage 53

	"So do you think it's possible to send our worlds back?"
	"Possible? Yes. We just won't know until we find the source of the power that brought us here."
	"Well, where do you think that power is?"
	"Most likely with Dremagen."
	"So to save the critters AND ourselves we need to find Dremagen."
	"It would appear she is the key to everything."

Stage 54

	"You looked troubled. Are you worried about what's ahead?"
	"I sense something waiting."
	"There's always something waiting for us."
	"Something different. Something personal."
	"You've already battled yourself. What could be worse?"
	"I can think of a few things."

Stage 59

	After an encounter with a clone of Hotsuma.
	"Did you know that guy?"
	"Yes, he was someone I had a history with. But it wasn't really him."
	"Still, It must be hard to battle someone you care about."
	"He wasn't the one I cared about."

Stage 60

	"So...you're a monkey in a ball?"
	"I'm AiAi!"
	"Are all the monkeys on your world in balls?"
	"When we want! AiAi's girlfriend MeeMee and super genius Baby are the same! Eek! Eek! I'm here on an adventure with them!"
	"A family of monkeys in balls. I'd like to see that, actually."

Stage 66

	"Stand fast! Death Adder is upon us again!"
	"Hold your tongue, insect. You are of no concern to me. I save my wrath for this Dremagen. She stole the world that is rightfully mine."
	"Then why are you here?"
	"The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I will fight with you to get what I need."

Stage 67

	"So, can we trust Death Adder?"
	"Not at all. He killed my mother. He is pure evil. He will try to destroy us the second he gets what he wants."
	"That's horrible! We should get rid of him."
	"No, he's right. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Or at least an ally...for now."
	"Fine, but I hope you know what you're doing!"

Stage 74

	"Our enemies are growing stronger."
	"The longer our worlds are here the more energy she has to draw from. This energy source may be limitless."
	"What should we do?"
	"Move quicker."

	"Maybe we can go fishing at the beach."
	"AiAi would love to fish with you!"
	"Can you get out of the ball? It would make it easier."
	"Of course! Why does everyone think AiAi live in the ball?"

	"MeeMee and I never fight like that."
	"That's probably because that's a clone of MeeMee."
	"True. Also, when we fight there is more laughing and tickling."
	"Is that really...oh, nevermind."

Stage 82

	"You know, that giant hammer of yours is pretty nice."
	"Thanks! I think it's cute and dangerous."
	"You'll have to let me try it out sometime."
	"Once we're through this I'll let you take it for a spin."

Stage 88

	"Our enemies skills are increasing."
	"That just means we have to get better."
	"Agreed. We need to make sure our own skills are at their peak. We need to be prepared for anything."
	"After everything I've seen I'm pretty sure nothing can surprise me anymore."

Stage 89

	"I'm detecting large amounts of energy in this area. We are getting close."
	"How do you detect it? Do you smell it?"
	"I'm an android. My systems can be rerouted so that they can scan different spectrums. The energy source we are following is very distinct so I am able to follow its trail."

	"You are a ninja, correct? They are ruthless and cunning. Even deadly."
	"This is true."
	"You and I have much in common. We take what we want."
	"I am nothing like you. Besides, what I want, I can never have."

	"Amy, this place is filled with a lot of rude people."
	"I know, Cream. They make it hard to be nice."
	"It's scary too, but Cheese and I are very brave."
	"You two are the bravest I know."

	"No silly, I'm a rabbit and Cheese here is a Chao."
	"I guess I am not good at guessing animals. My name is Ax."
	"How do you do Mr. Ax? It is a pleasure to meet you."
	"You have a pure heart, Cream. We can use more of that. I am honored you are in our party."
	"Oh boy, I love parties!"

Stage 102

	"Those moves. Which clan do you belong to?"
	"Are you...Ageha? I heard that everybody in the Oboro clan was destroyed."
	"How do you know this? That is a story of a long ago past, in a different world."
	"A world we are better off without."
	"Some of it was worth keeping."

Stage 108

	"Based on the technology of this world I should be able to interact with the device that brought us all here. In theory, I would be able to reverse the stream and push our worlds back."
	"And what if magic was used to bring us here?"
	"I specialize in science."
	"But if it's magic?"
	"Then we would be in trouble."

	"At the very least, it sure is pretty here. Even with all the fighting."
	"It beats working in an office. I'm a private detective when I'm not fighting clones."
	"I have a friend who's a private detective."
	"Another hedgehog?"
	"Crocodile."
	"Of course."

	"You killed my family."
	"You killed me."
	"Yet here you are. Worry not, when this is over, we will have words."

	"I have never met a monkey in a ball so we're even."
	"I get into this ball by casting a spell! Do you want to be in one too?"

	"I was lost in some sick grooves, man. What can I say?"
	"You should probably be fighting instead of dancing."

	"Perhaps I should enter the area first so that I may protect you."
	"Why do you have to protect us?"
	"It is my purpose to protect living beings."
	"We all share that purpose. We're here to protect each other."

	"This place is larger that we first thought."
	"Our team is larger now as well. We will conquer this place together."
	"You were once willing to charge in alone. What changed?"
	"It has been a long road that has taught me much."

	"I don't feel sick."
	"Nah dawg, I mean your purple fur is off the hook!"
	"I'm a cat, not a dog. Sometimes when I fish my fur gets on the hook, but I do try to keep it off."

	"I like you too, even if I don't know what you're talking about."

	"I've been here a while and you don't even say hi."
	"Uh, been kinda busy. What were you doing?"
	"Oh you know, the usual. Fighting bad guys and making them look bad."
	"You're a hedgehog?"
	"You know it buddy."
	"Yes! Finally got one right."

	"Yeah, they've really come together."

	"Huh. I was in law enforcement. How were the benefits?"
	"The retirement plan left much to be desired."

	"I'm not afraid of you."
	"You should be."
	"And yet here we are."

	"Of course! Why would you want to be negative?"

	"I can honestly say I have no idea."

	"There are no safe places to stop. The enemy would move on us quickly."
	"We should take turns in battle. Some rest, while others fight."
	"A solid strategy. Save our resources. Stay fresh."
	"And when we find Dremagen, give her everything we've got."

	"I saw Doctor Eggman here. A couple times, actually."
	"Same. For some reason I feel like he's the real deal."
	"The real Doctor Eggman? That would makes sense."
	"Why do you say that?"
	"A clone of Doctor Eggman would be smarter. Heck, a statue of Doctor Eggman would be smarter."

	"It's possible we have absorbed much of the energy. We are connected to it."

	"We will finish this together and then I will finish you."

	"Wow, it's almost as if I'm not even needed. Almost."

	"Everybody needs to be extra careful. This is where Dremagen could be strongest."
	"The group is ready."

	"What an impudence! But Dremagen will still be back!"
	"I don't understand. This should have been it. Either way, doesn't matter. We'll find Dremagen again."
	"There is much about this world we don't understand."
	"We are battle tested now. Everything will become more clear."
	"That's what I'm talkin' about guys. Nothing can stop us. We got this!"
